  • What is Botox?
    Botox is a prescription only medicine that temporarily blocks the contraction of muscles. The muscle is then relaxed and temporarily lessens the appearance of lines on the face.
  • Does Botox have side effects?
    Botulinum toxin may cause side effects in some people, although most will not have any. The side effects that may occur in the first few days of injection and are temporary. The most common side effects are headache, drooping of the eyelid, skin redness, local muscle weakness and facial pain. Other side effects can be related to the injection such as bruising, redness, pain, burning, stinging and swelling.
  • Are results immediate and how long will the botox last?
    The results of treatment are seen 1-2 weeks after injection. Treatment has been shown to be effective for 3-4 months but typically lasts up to 12 weeks. However this will depend on the condition of the skin, area treated and life-style factors such as smoking, sun exposure, age and metabolism.
  • Is Botox safe?
    Botox has a remarkably safe history and has been studied for its uses with muscular disorders since 1817. The Botullium toxin is purified for medical use and is safe.
  • What are Dermal Fillers?
    The dermal filler product range that are used contain hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. This means it not only fills wrinkles but also replaces something that the skin has lost over time.
  • How long will the procedure take?
    The procedure is quick and easy and only take approximately 30 mins, depending upon procedure.
  • Are there any side effects?
    Following injection you may experience redness, swelling or bruising in the area treated. The side effects will not last and can be covered up with your usual make-up. All skin injection procedures carry a risk of infection.
  • Will I see a difference immediately?
    Yes, the results are immediate.
  • Can you ensure a natural effect to the lip fillers?

  • Are there any special after care instructions?
    The recovery time from dermal filler is minimal. For the first 24 hours following treatment you should avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun and alcohol consumption.
  • How long will the effects last?
    The fillers can last between 12-18 months, however there are many factors that effect this such as age, metabolism, area treated, brand of product used and lifestyle.
